Because of its recent success, and the power that it provides Trevor, we can with certainty label Trevor as the current most powerful hipster. With power comes a large amount of responsibility, and we hope Trevor uses his blog for good (but we don't mind a little drama every so often). Did we mention that he is a rockin DJ?

Within the hipster world a certain demographic has a strong influence and Brian Lichtenberg is the leader of the pack. Over the past few months Brian has successfully pulled off an amazing fashion show, a pop-up store, and has dressed the iconic M.I.A.. Recently one of Brian's signature pieces was photographed being worn by a certain High School Musical star. Mass success is inevitable for this young futuristic designer, and we can't wait.

Mark Hunter has had a strong hold on hipsters for the past few years and definitely can not be overlooked within The Hipster Rank. Having created one of the biggest hipster sensations, Cory Kennedy, it is apparent that Mark and his powerful photo site, The Cobrasnake, have a strong influence within the hipster scene. However as the saying goes: Once you're on top, the only way to go is down. Recently we have found The Cobrasnake to be utterly boring, however compared to other hipster photo sites, it undoubtedly still reigns supreme.

Not since Cory Kennedy has anybody made such a splash in the hipster scene so quickly than Panda. After being debated over in an epic EatSkeet post, Panda secured his standings by participating in one of the most shocking lastnightsparty video the hipster world has ever seen. We here at The Hipster Rank don't love Panda, but we certainly think he is a genius.

Oh Cory Kennedy, what can we say about this hipster princess? Well to start, if this were a year ago, she'd be number one. Fortunately for her, she was able to stretch her 15 minutes of fame into much more, and we appreciate her for that. But lately Cory has not been up to anything interesting except for the occasional obscure magazine cover. We also took note of her new blog move. Does anybody know how much Uber paid for her switch? We smell a sell out! Cory, we love you, but if you don't do something worth noting soon, you'll be off this rank completely.

Rony's Photobooth has been seriously struggling lately. Definitely should have been more of a novelty type deal than an ongoing photo site. We here at The Hipster Rank are giving him some sympathy due to the fact he is competing with The Cobrasnake powerhouse and the novelty of his photos hasn't completely worn off. Luckily for him, his mullet is growing in quite nicely these days.

THE RULES

Within the illusive hipster world is a very cut-throat attitude in which everybody strives to be the most hip. Taking our queues from the late “Socialite Rank” we have devised a fool-proof ranking system to define the current power hipsters within the hipster world. We will produce a list of the top 5 power hipsters as we see fit, and will base our rankings using their overall hipness determined by three categories:

WORK: Does this hipster have a hipster job? (photographer, DJ, blogger, artist, designer, socialite...) Is it successful?

INTERNET PRESS: Can this hipster and his work be found throughout the internet? Is he/she mentioned frequently and recently?

STYLE: Does this hipster have a unique and innovative sense of style? Is it ahead of the trends? Does his or her style influence others?

Ratings will be based on a 1-10 scale. 10 being the best, 1 being the worst.
